I started CrossFit in 2011. I was the typical weightlifter at a globo gym, but a good friend encouraged me to drop in at his gym. I was immediately intrigued because the WOD was extremely challenging. I have grown to love the sport and could not imagine my life without CrossFit. I was fortunate enough to meet my wife abroad at a Crossfit gym. We are now proud owners of our first Crossfit gym. My main goal as a coach and owner is to help all my athletes improve their overall health and fitness through proper body mechanics. CrossFit can be a lot of fun and the community is amazing. I have met incredible people during the past few years from all over the world and we all bonded through our love of the sport. I look forward to coaching each athlete as well as sweating through the wods together during class. Come up and ask me for help with any of your GOALS, I would love to help you!!.

My Crossfit journey began in 2015. Before Crossfit, I was the typical cardio girl, running marathons and taking spin classes. I would spend hours at the gym constantly looking for more. A good friend of mine suggested that I try Crossfit. I love a challenge and that is exactly what Crossfit is. Crossfit has been very empowering for me because I love feeling strong and independent. The gym is my escape from my fulltime job at the hospital. My personal goals are to continue working hard and improve every day. In 2018, I just recently passed my L1 in order to start coaching and my husband and I became co-owners of the gym. You will find me in the gym every day training but I only coach on the weekends. My goals for the gym are to ensure that everyone moves efficiently and safely. I hope that I can have an impact on our members to help them improve and achieve their fitness goals!!

I have been practicing Crossfit for almost seven years. I first started Crossfit with my friends and family in my garage, but eventually became so involved that I decided to become an owner in our local box. Participating in local competitions and being a judge for the Crossfit Open since 2012 made me realize that my real passion lies in coaching Crossfit and helping others achieve their fitness goals. I come to Crossfit Kerosene because of the sport I love and the community that grows everyday.

In 1985 at the age of 14 I had saved enough money from a summer job to purchase my first weight set and begin my life obsession of becoming "strong" through presses and curls. Fast forward to 1/2/13, the first day I walked in to our box with 2 of my sons for our 1st Fundamentals class. I was introduced to CrossFit and I was hooked. I went from doing the same routine day after day to being challenged to push my limits and rarely repeating the same work out!
As a coach I hope to assist others in achieving their fitness goals. From the first Air Squat to an Overhead Squat there is so much to learn in this CrossFit journey and my goal is to assist our athletes in getting there and sharing some laughs and hi 5's along the way!

I first started Crossfit in 2014 in an attempt to spend more time with my husband but was convinced it was not for "people like me". I have a background in dance and long walks on the beach mixed in with slow 5ks, so my first few weeks really opened my eyes to all of the things my body could do. After a few months, I was completely hooked! In no time, I became part of the wonderful CrossFit community and started craving being involved even more. Being a teacher by day, coaching was my next goal and I completed the L1 in May of 2016. I try to make every athlete feel like they can be successful, no matter their level. The best part of coaching is when a movement clicks, a PR is gained, or an athlete pushes through a workout they thought they couldn't complete. Seeing confidence build in real time is a special part of this community and I wouldn't change it for the world. Whatever your goals are, CrossFit can help and I would love to be a part of that process with you!
